Blind Bartimaeus had a rare quality. He did not allow the people around him to discourage him. (Do you?)
All of those people had no faith in the goodness of God, but Bartimaeus had heard about Jesus and His mercy, kindness, and His healing power. And more importantly, He believed and acted upon His belief. He cried out to Jesus with BOLDNESS...and Jesus heard him.
Jesus asked him to be specific.
"What do you want me to do for you?"
Bart answered him SPECIFICALLY. (This is vital!)
"Master, let me receive my sight."
Jesus found Bart in the position to receive - full of faith, speaking and acting with confidence in His goodness and His power. And so the divine connection was made! Jesus healed him. "Go your way; your faith has healed you..."
