In today’s digital world, we’re constantly bombarded with images and messages that can lead us astray from the loving relationships God designed for us. Pornography, which has become "accepted" in our society, can quickly erode trust, intimacy, and the sacred bond of marriage. When anyone allows their heart to wander into a fantasy world, they risk replacing genuine connection with illusions, opening the door for emotional and even physical infidelity. Scripture reminds us that adultery begins in the heart, and when our minds entertain these destructive thoughts, it will fracture the family unit that God has entrusted to us.

As a minister, I see firsthand the struggles many face in this area. In a first marriage, my spouse was heavy into porn, and then to strip clubs, which let to my spouse becoming a serial adulterer, and ultimately to divorce. It hurts me to see marriages torn apart and families broken by secrets and betrayals. The fallout from all of this is tremendous. My story is not unique. Unfortunately, this happens way too often. God calls us to live in faith and purity, and His Word provides us with the truth to counter these temptations. In 1 Corinthians 6:18, we are urged to “flee from sexual immorality,” and in Matthew 5:28, Jesus teaches that even looking with lustful intent is akin to committing adultery in the heart. These verses remind us that our thoughts and actions must align with the love and commitment that God intended for marriage.
May you find strength in His promises and healing in His love, as you step away from temptation and walk boldly in the light of Christ.
