Spiritual Housecleaning
Spiritual housecleaning is something ALL Christians must do. Not only do we need to clean out our own personal temple beginning with our soul, but we need to clean out the temples that are our houses. When we keep things in our homes that are an offense to God, then we open the door for satan and his demons to harass us. If the UPS person came to the door with a package that said, "Poisonous Vipers", would you sign for it and take it into your home? I don't think so!! Yet many Christians are allowing offensive and ungodly items to enter their homes every day through many different sources. Many times they don't even know what they are doing..."My people perish for lack of knowledge..." The
list assembled below is not exhaustive, but it does give us a tremendous amount
of information as to what Christians need to BAN from their households. We
should not be giving satan a foothold in any way.... 1. Books and objects identified with anything related to
Satan's Kingdom and anything which encourages children to seek access to
2. Pornography of any kind (videos,
magazines, books, internet, cable, satellite) 4. Owl and frog images of all types. 5. Witch's mask and fetishes used by witch doctors. 6. Objects and literature that pertain to false religions,
cults, the occult and spiritism such as snakes, dragons, thunderbirds,
phoenixes, 7. Graven images of gods (demons). 8. Objects dedicated to demons (idols and artifacts). 9. Ouija boards or other occult paraphernalia. 10. Prayers and worship to demons bring curses on home. 11. Mexican sun gods; idols, incense; Buddhas; hand carved objects from Africa or the Orient; anything connected with astrology, horoscopes, fortune telling, etc.; books or objects associated with witchcraft, good luck charms or cult religions (metaphysics, Christian Science, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc.); heavy metal rock and roll records and tapes. 12. Jewelry given to a person by someone in witchcraft, hex signs, ancient geometric and mystical motifs, jewelry designed to bring good luck and act as talisman to chase evil. 13. Egyptian ankh, broken cross (peace symbol), chais, Polynesian tikkis of gods, African jujus, Italian horn, protectors from the evil eye, hand with index and little fingers pointing up, clovers, wishbones, luck coins, mystic medals, horseshoes, religious fetishes and statues. 14. Products with cryptic curses (hidden secret, occult curses). 15. Dolls used for witchcraft and magic; puppets, cult objects or representations. 16. Things of unknown history which are not inherently evil by design (Pray about the item. Dedicate it to the Lord. If the problem persists, then discard it) 17. Things that have become gods in our lives (collections, antiques, clothing, money, jewelry, etc.) 18. Video games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Pokeman and anything with demonic or witchcraft content or excessive violence. 19. Movies with occult messages, extreme violence, excessive foul language or explicit sexual content. 20. Books that focus on sensuality or death and destruction. 21. Television shows that depict death and destruction, hatred or extreme sexual content. 22. Things relating to secret societies like Freemasonry, Eastern Star, Skull and Bones, etc. 23. Masonic aprons, books or rings, oriental yin and yang symbols, fortune-telling with tea leaves, talisman, etc. 24.
Some alternative medicine practices such as reiki, healing
touch, yoga, homeopathy, pendulums, polarity healing, primal therapy,
hypnosis, holistic pulsing, geopathic therapy, cosmic energy, gem healing, channeling, bach flowers, prana, acupuncture, shamanism, silva mind control, pyramid power, 25. Things related to astrology, geomancy, necromancy, Edgar Cayce, Jean Dixon. 26. Halloween items, Indian artifacts You may look through this list and think to yourself, "I don't understand why I can't have THAT in my home. I think it's perfectly acceptable!" You must remember deeply that we can so easily create our own gospel with "I" being at the center instead of God. We need to go to the plumb line, which is the word of God to get our answers. He may not name these SPECIFICALLY, but if you research the ROOTS of these, they are connected with evil and the occult and God talks about this in His Word: Ephesians 5: 8-11 And there are more scriptures you can research..... The things we keep in our homes that are an offense to God is a source
of defilement and could be the open door to the following: Sudden chronic illness What process do we need to go through in order to close the doors to
the demonic and all the fallout from the association with defiling items? 1. Be open to the Lord. Be humble, not stubborn. Be willing to allow god to minister to you. 2. Ask Him to show you where all of the defiling objects are
hidden, or are in plain sight. 4. Take the offending items and destroy them. It is better to destroy them than to give them away or sell them. You don't want these items in the homes of someone else, do you? Don’t lament the money you spent on the items. God will reward you with something better as you act out of obedience to Him… 5. Command any spirits associated with these items to FLEE your home. “Sumbit to God, REBUKE the devil, and he will FLEE!” 6. Dedicate your life and property to God. Sanctify it with prayer. If after you remove items and the same symptoms in your life are apparent, keep seeking God and searching until you find the answers. Sometimes God reveals things in layers. No material possession is worth holding onto if it interferes with your life….
